How to Make a Cafe Frappe That Rivals Starbucks
With summer just around the corner, now’s the time to add a delicious frappe recipe to your coffee recipe library.
This drink is one of my favorites and it’s so simple. I love vanilla ice cream and coffee together.
Frappe + Summer = Heaven!!!
For this recipe, you can make coffee and chill it, or make cold brew coffee. Cold brew coffee has a better taste but requires a bit of patience. Kicking Horse coffee, my absolute favorite brand, has a great tutorial on how to make cold brew coffee.
What’s In a Frappe?
Frappe Ingredients:
- 3 scoops of your favorite vanilla ice cream
- 1 cup of ice
- 1 cup cold brew coffee or chilled coffee
- 2 tbsp. simple syrup (see below)
- Whipped cream
- Cocoa powder
This recipe is super easy. Combine the first 4 ingredients into a blender and blend them until smooth. Add some whipped cream and maybe a pinch of cocoa powder to top it off with some flare.
Make Your Cafe Frapp Own Syrup
½ cup of sugar
½ cup of water
In a small saucepan, bring all above ingredients to a boil over high heat. Constantly stirring until all the sugar is dissolved completely. Allow it to cool.
That’s it! Sit back, relax and enjoy this super yummy cafe frappe. You are now a fancy frappe drinker!
Try This Frappe On a Hot Summer Day to Cool Yo-Self Down!
The next time you have a party, make this drink for your guests. It will be a total hit! I promise!
Make it even more special by having some fun toppings available like chocolate shavings, caramel or chocolate sauce, or maybe some even crushed m&m’s.
I love this recipe! It’s such a hit at a party, and I sometimes make it on a hot summer day when I’m hanging out in the backyard reading a graphic novel.
