What You Need to Make a Milky Way Latte
Make It Even Better:
- Whipped cream
- Milky Way chocolate bar chunks
Optional: If you want to add another little kick of chocolate, you can use chocolate milk instead of regular milk. Or you can mix a little hot chocolate in with your coffee to give it extra sweetness. This recipe is sweet enough for me, so I don’t need that, but do what tastes good to you.
Directions to Make A Mocha Milky Way
- Start by adding some of the caramel sauce into a coffee mug, then pour the coffee over the caramel sauce.
- Stir thoroughly until sauce is mixed well with your coffee (try using a french press for delicious coffee).
- Add in the steamed milk and continue stirring.
- Add a dollop of whipped cream to the top. Drizzle a bit of caramel syrup over the whipped topping to garnish. Add a chunk of Milky Way chocolate bar to the top, or crumble it up and dust the pieces over the top to go even further with your garnish.
Note: If you’re too impatient to steam your milk, just put the milk in a glass mason jar that has a lid and put it in the microwave (without the lid) for 1 minute without the lid. Remove from microwave and add lid, shake for 1 minute to get some froth. If you have a french press, you can froth the coffee easily. Check out the video in this post to show you how.
This is one of my favorite latte simulations.
